Nature Singing

Tread lightly on the forest trail,
Into a morning fresh and pale.
Once you're in the forest's heart,
Stop and let the music start!
Just open up your ears to hear
The lyrics flow from far and near.
A woodpecker has found a tree
That's sure to harbor food that he
Will quickly eat, as these birds do
And somewhere near, I hear the coo
Of mourning doves, who greet the day,
While crows are cawing, far away.

There is a stream that I can hear.
I picture water, cold and clear,
Where animals can drink their fill
And every bird can dip its bill.
A robin chirps its cheerful tune.
Its eggs are hatching very soon!
The leafy branches slightly sway
With any breeze that comes their way
And add their sighings to the sound
Of nature singing, all around.
These gifts are sure to please and bless
And flood your soul with happiness!

Dear Marge: Thanks so much for your kind words! It's always a pleasure hearing from you.

Ron sends his love and says "hi" back. Going to be a pretty quiet week-end, but I am going to take ron to the parade on Monday. It's always good!
