Singing To The Wind

Sometimes at night, the wind will blow.
I softly sing, to let it know
That I appreciate the sound
Of moving foliage, around.
It's very soothing just to hear
These stirrings in the atmosphere.
Each bush and tree has its own song.
Within earth's harmony, belong
And if my voice is small, compared,
It is a moment that I've shared
With ancient forces, that have played
Across the earth since it was made.
Perhaps the notes that come from me,
Will circle for eternity!

you have a wonderful knack of picking the simplest subjects and making them come alive. this is a very nice piece.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Annie:  I'm talking about gentle winds here!  Not the tornado variety!  I'm afraid of them too

i know it is really a stupid phobia, but the slightest movement of wind scares me. has for many many years and don't understand it myself, but there it is. this helps me a little as you make it sound so beautiful.

Annie:  Perhaps something happend to you as a small child, involving wind and you don't remember it now.  I've always enjoyed the wind sounds if they aren't a violent wind. There is music in the way the wind moved the trees and bushes and swishes around the house. Hope you can get over your fear!
