Here, where I first felt
the wetness
of my lover's kiss---
slipped into my mouth
like summered fruit,
I welcomed it.

Here, in the city.
where her winds whip fog
into moaning---
visions of the bay
stirred into oblivion.

Here in this place.

Perhaps, now it is sweeter,
warmer---
as the season
carves a crease
into memory.

It does not matter;
the song and scent
are the same.
And the taste remains
strongest in winter,
here on these streets,
found clinging to
my breast.

Very well done..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

In love all things are relative, in poetry, all things are grace and beauty defined by tragic loss. You have captured the very essence of it, and i rejoice you for it.
