When You Were A Kid

Recall when you did things just because
And an all day sucker really was?
When Daddy knew all there was to know
And shoes were purchased with room to grow?

The days were long and snuggly warm
And nothing on Earth could bring you harm.
Worry was something your mother did
And living was joy when you were a kid.

"Worry was something your mother did
And living was joy when you were a kid."

I have to agree very much with the last line.

Death is not extinguishing the light;
it is putting out the lamp
because the dawn has come.

Sounds like I missed out on being a kid,,,my shoes never fit, my mom couldn't have cared less, I was constantly worried/scared/alone, the only good spot was my dad,,,he didn't know everything,,but he tried

No one really cares,,why should I?
