You've no idea The cost of sitting here And smiling, showing you love Because when I do this Give you my love unconditionally It opens up my heart again. That place that is bruised Hurting beyond belief... The place that love is stored And goodbyes are swallowed Like a bitter pill...but still Swallowed..to let others move on.. You don't comprehend the cost Of loving you because you haven't Lost as much as I have.. or maybe you Have lost as much...in a different way Maybe you're me in a different guise Could be that you've lost as much Or an equal amount.. Perchance you've Seen that dark abysess.. right before Your soul says goodbye for good And you've nothing left to wish for When you lay everything on the line And know that you will get nothing Not a cent in return..not a shadow Not a glimpse of the hope you had Wishing upon a faint star long ago Maybe you've been here and done that And in that maybe...maybe we'll both Find a salvation long lost, but looked for Then we'll be able to hold our heads up Instead of hidden, with tears falling And maybe the love we speak of is real Not a dream after all... Time will tell Until it does, be patient. I don't know me So how could you know me? This hurt This pain..this push you away.. I will run yet still hope you will be here. Save me from myself please.
