One piece of life-litter too much.

I scramble to the edge and over;

down into my cavern of solitude.

Crossing over the path of reality,

Safe, calm sanctuary of inertia.

Soundless blanket of dark cover,

cocoons my blackened spirit.

Self –pity may impress upon me,

It’s freedom and the flow of tears.

And I lapse luxuriously into me.

Float aimlessly in starless night,

on a thick sweet tide of apathy.

Unbidden thoughts sink heavily,

under the power of unwillingness.

I wallow in a numbness of mind.

Reality — a shore I may never reach

How sad Junemac.  Hope you're soon back to your sunny self.  Love, Joyce

Dear June,

I felt such sadness in these words. I pray it's not your own pain you were feeling.

Love,
Patricia

Interesting and sad - hope the 'hollowness' of this piece is not your truth, although it's eloquence makes one think it possibly is.
