And the Rains Came Summer in its bright array Is shrouded under clouds of gray. The rains that Heaven withheld so long Are pouring down in merry song. The flowers lift their thirsty throats And fairies ferry leafy boats. The rivers rise to dangerous high, From drought to flood in wink of eye. Suzy's content to watch through glass Until the brimming clouds shall pass. Yesterday we cried for rain, Today we want it gone again. Winter is still some months away But Suzy knows when it comes to stay She'll have safe refuge from the storm With this little house to keep her warm. Dear Joyce: I like your poem and Suzy is a smart dog! She knows when she is well off! We have had four days now of heavy to torrential rain! Dear Joyce We have had quite a long dry spell here 'Down Under'. It has been the dryest in 50 years! On land we have a 'sea of brown'! How about sending some of that 'unwanted' rain our way! I loved your poem. Love Isobel ox |

Thanks everyone. we had a deluge on Tuesday, steady rain Wednesday, less Thursday and today it is clouds and patches of sun. Tomorrow is supposed to be bright and then more rains. Love, joyce |
