( He's passed out all over the news today.)

The Beer Drinking Bear

Thirty-six cans of beer he drank;
Thirty-six cans of beer.
This greedy, gutsy, guzzling bear
Who only likes Rainier.

He invaded the camp and that bear scamp
Stole thirty-six cans of beer.
He drank them down, then climbed a tree,
As tipsy a bear as you'll ever see;
Too happy to be in fear.

The fellows came and they were mad
He'd purloined all the beer they had;
Their thirty-six cans of beer.
They set a trap,and baited with honey,
He tossed it aside, it wasn't funny.
He wanted some more Rainier.

They had to agree and gave him more.
He entered the trap, they closed the door,
And this was the end of the story for
They had saved their precious beer
From the bear who likes Rainier.

This has GOT TO BE the cutest thing I've read in a month of Thursdays~

PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS ... I'm grinning from ear to ear~
I LOVE IT !!!!
You need to send it to the local newspapers that are featuring the story~

When I saw the title and your name, I started to smile even before I read it. What a riot! Thanks.

Dear Joyce:  I didn't see a thing about this over on this side of the mountains! What a hoot!  You are so clever to have turned it into this delightful poem.

Thanks everybody.  It happened in a park
in the northern part of the state.  The news said that he had quite a preference for Rainier.  He opened a can of Busch and tossed it.  Sorry about the typo.  I've fixed it.  Love, Joyce

Dear Joyce,

I was giggling and holding my sides while reading this delightful poem. Just the title had me rolling in laughter!

Patricia

Wow, free advertisment for "Rainier". They couldn't of ask for a better actor.      You did a very nice job on capturing the scene in a poem.

Dear Joyce

Quite hillarious this poem of yours.  It certainly shows the bear (bare) facts, that is for sure.  Eh! Eh!
