Could Be Anywhere...

JoMama

My sweetie is up at one a.m.
i catch her in the kitchen mopping
drop of sweat on her nose
“I can’t sleep, my husband”
she explains shyly, softly
i take her hand to take her.

We giggle back to tousled sheets
wrestle and tickle for awhile
she is touched back to sleep
Laying next to, watching her
brush a bit of hair back, away
trace her smile with fingertip.

She stirs with slightest smile
murmurs and snuggles closer
everything as it should ever be.
I lay awake counting blessings
expressing my gratitude, whispering
“this must be just like heaven”

Snapshot of contentment
her little sounds painting
picture of peaceful, fulfillment.
Oh the trails have been tremendous
now we harvest love everlasting
my sweetie, my wife, my lover,
my life, my wholeness, my JoMama.

Dear Daniel,

What a wonderful gift you have of expressing the love you feel! Beautiful poem!

Yes, my baby always knows just what I need when one of those awful nights when sleep just won't come has come to visit. Thank you for being my giggle when times are too much. Our NeeNee always there keeping my sleep troubled or getting better as each night passes knowing that I can count on you to take my hand to take me.

this is beautiful....
it reminds me of a night spent with the love of my short life, who no longer loves me....
love the writing
will be reading more as they come.

lucky and loved and very spoiled....thank you my love...gringa lonelyness is something that is very hard at times but trust me there will be someone one day who loves you as much as my tramp poet loves me.
