Majestic Oak Tree

Standing proud in the quiet woodlands
the majestic oak stretches upward toward the sky
spreading its mighty branches, as leaves
give shelter from the heat of the sun.

As the season changes to autumn,
leaves turn a golden hue of yellow-brown,
while a variety of wildlife gather fallen acorns
providing food which lay on dry ground.

When winter winds batter the old oak tree,
blowing its leaves in all directions.
Massive branches stand stark and naked
as new falling snow glistens in moonlit sky.

As the scene changes, new growth bursts forth,
spring arrives to the sound of nature's melody.
A clear rippling brook, flowing so free
just a short distance from the majestic oak tree.
