The St. Joe Road

The St. Joe Road's the rivers friend.
It hugs the banks and every bend
Presents new vistas to our eyes,
Of wooded hills, cloud studded skies,
Some shadowed valleys, meadows green.
Of water running pure and clean.

We see the little farms and they
Seem cozy where they're tucked away,
In coves, surrounded by high trees,
Where often on the evening breeze,
We hear the hoot of great-horned owls
And sometimes, even coyote's howls!

This is a land that shares its good
With men and animals and should
You ever venture on this road,
You'll leave behind the daily load
Of stress and problems facing you,
That you must find an answer to.

It is a soothing place, I find,
Where I can leave the world behind
And lose myself to nature's spell,
Which works its magic, very well!

Dear Betty Lou

This St. Joe Road is better than the Yellow Brick Road.  I enjoyed this poem of yours as I do all of them.

'Natures Spell' is sure wonderful.  I'm always 'there' with you, no matter what road you happen to be on.

It is great to have you back!!!

Love Isobel ox
