A Spider - Haiku

A tiny spider
hidden under the bookcase
Spins silvery web.

Wriggling and twisting
the moth tries to free itself
The web holding fast.

On this summer night
I take a broom in my hand
Sweep cobwebs away.

Gone is the spider
along with it the moth
No insect cries.

'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go.
For dreams are the tiny seeds from which tomorrow grows.'

Thank you June and Barb! I've never written a Haiku before, so I thought I would share a couple of them I had written just recently.

Love,
Patricia

The kitties bring me presents
they bring them all the time.
They say they're not too tasty
i say, "add a little lime..."

I agree with Tramp Poet
check for hitchers real soon
don't put away that broom!

Thanks Pat, i needed that this morning,
Gonna get my own broom out and check it!
I'll keep you posted if things jump at me...

Daniel,

If you hear a scream
know I jumped on my table
More critters around. Lol!

Love,
Patricia
