Cranberry Cushions

Mrs. McDougall wanted a change.
She could no longer just rearrange
The furniture and be content.
It’s time to have some money spent
On some new decorative task.
Mr. Dougall was afraid to ask.
She liked the color of cranberry,
Maybe Pink, or a very dark cherry.
Cranberry cushions on a pink couch.
At the price, Mr. McDougall said, “ouch.”
“Two pink chairs. That will do.
And of course, the drapes will be new.”

Please stop screaming, “I ain’t gonna paint!”
