Frost creeps in on toes unwilling
To freeze this heart to be unfeeling
A smile frozen on my face
Will be all thats left of this place
Woodenly hugs I'll still give thee
Without the feelings that should be
And though I might wish you well
I wish it didn't mean I'd live through hell
I shared with you parts of my soul
Then gave you the keys to make me whole
You accepted with a bright smile
Walked down this road with me for miles
Then said you'd deal with your feelings
In a place that was far from our musings
So off you went on your own path
Leaving me alone, with a small laugh
Twilights falling once again
And so we part, not even friends.

Your time is here.  Take one last look at it, then never come back.  This part of your life is already over...

You captured what we all feel, the friendship or non-friendship issue at the end of all relationships...
