Green

When spring arrives with joy and flair,
I look at all the colors there
And think that I have never seen
So many different shades of green.
From small tendrils, tender, twining,
To large spruce with needles shining
And everywhere you look, you see
Unfolding scenes of greenery.
You'd think the varied shades would jar.
They all seem perfect where they are.
There is no clashing in the realm,
With Mother Nature at the helm.
From waning winter days, I find,
The green of spring is on my mind!

Hello Betty Lou

You always paint such a vivid and most beautiful picture with your words.  This was a delight for all of the senses.

Take care.......Sue

Dear Betty Lou

Oh! How I wish our 'Green' here was as vivid as yours.  Man certainly did not have a 'green thumb' where I come from.

Your poem is a delight and reminds me that maybe there is still hope yet.

Dear Betty Lou,

What a wonderful description of springtime! It reminds me of Wisconsin where I was born, when all the flowers were in bloom and green was everywhere.

Love,
Patricia
