I bid thee friend doth speak,
of thee treacherous treason,
that to thy heart doth wreak;
of betrayal from untimely reason.

Once our lives were aligned,
like the stars therein Orion's belt,
but to time they doth resigned,
humbly, as treachery in the heart dwelt.

Once your oath you swore to me,
was devinely sung by sweet birds,
but betrayal became of thee,
and now have become mere words.

And what words they are to thee,
that they are daggers to thine ear,
burning passionately ignoring thy plea,
they consume thy thoughts through fear.

'Neath thy barren breast,
lies friendship in mystery;
why has such betrayal crest,
and made thy friendship hystory?

There is no just cause in it,
this treason 'neath thy breast,
that it causes love to submit,
and doubtful minds to falsly attest.

It is thy doubting heart's concern,
that thy lost friendship be amended;
so lost passion will heatedly return,
and that thy heart shall be befriended!
