Etched in the illusion of time

oh, Lali. if you ever knew how bad i've got it, i'll  be damned.

~
He touched her fingers through solid glass

and she wondered why

the seasons failed to compromise

each wilted, morbid scream.

She touched his soul through solid glass

and he wondered why

distance could taste so very sweet

even 'tween winter's song.

They touched the other through solid glass

and each wondered why

friendship cost them such fierce withdrawal

as needs spilled through the years.

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi

I find this to be fiercely poignant, great job!
