This January morn.
Still cold chill of Winter's dawn,
penetrates the core of human warmth.
Old snow unmelting - frozen tundra.

What purpose this of God's Hand?
A question, so often pondered.

Could it be as the storm
before the rainbow appears?
or..The tears before joy returns?
Deep pain of betrayal,
then gently acceptance is born,
and a new depth of happiness,
as self-trust blossoms within?

Would Spring be as gloriously a gift,
if not for this Heart of Winter?

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
