Frosty Morn The fields lie whitened under frost. The steaming lake's dark surface, lost Beneath a cloud of swirling mist. The tendrils rise and turn and twist. It looks just like a witch's brew. A winter dish for me and you! The tamaracks on hills nearby, Point golden branches at the sky And as the sun warms up the air, I hear bird voices, everywhere. I really loved this poem. I like the "playful" imagery. It's something that I try to incorporate into my work, but I always wind-up being to austere. *LOL* |
