arctic death
permeates
an alibaster world
of icebergs
and white-outs

time
leans into the wind
his polar grief
weeps
a stinging tear

beneath the snow
earth's frigid corpse
awaiting runoff
imbibes hope
with embryonic thirst

frostbitten
half-awakened
greening dreams
emerge
on sunlit praises
sung
from her blue lips

glacial
heartbeat echoes
bounce
the canyons

rushing

cold muffled

poetic

a melting obituary

roaring
down
the great divide
