I rinse the night from my eyes
and look  out  on  world of white,
the silence broken only
by squabbling birds scratching the
Winter’s crust for sustenance,

their tiny vee claws the only
imprint on virgin smoothness
soon to be covered by softly
falling feathery dew.

The blushing breast of a robin
almost lost in the blood red fingertips
of the holly tree, watchful as the
dark shadows of ravens swoop near.

My thoughts are at prayer
as distant bells proclaim
the miracle of
Our Saviours Birth.

(smiles) Oh Maggie, this is soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, God Bless You and may the bells toll merrily as He is always here in spirit guiding the sheep and making sure not one sheep falls away from the rest of the pack! (big angel hugs) This is precious, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maggie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
