Begin
Where breath feels the
chill of life at first step
rolling into your day until
the end

The end
comes just when the
sunlight gets to know me
and the moon tries to seduce my
girlfriend.

Sleeping as blue-green koi jump
Samurai stirs in his silk
sheets, his queen's body

firmly against his scarred skin,
hard battle worn, ancient aches
of cold traditions.

She gently breathes through the
soft hairs on his chest straining
to find his heartbeat.

A single tear falls, his skin
redeemed, the blood flows to the
sea in her small hand.

Even with insects-
some can sing
some can't

I loved the way all flowed into her hands. Left me with the feeling she was his all. Lovely this is!

Murder in the bamboo bedroom?
Clever, if it is.

but you say in a response:
"These are my favorite forms."
Explain?

Thank you kindly, Betty, Terri, K and Titch.

K...the forms used are Cinquain, for the first two poems, the second is Sedaka...
7-7-5 times two.  The latter form I have used several times to write, this is all part of a series.  Thank you for your question.

Titch!  Nice to see you, I am glad we still have contact!
