The somber light of this blue bedroom,
a mutedness of amber and shadow,
my work weary hands touch silken skin
soft as her voice is melodious and moisture
to my starving ears.

In muted light
eyes open, a smile,
a caressing kiss

Spring flower aroma and imperfect beauty:
a body illuminated by thin hands of stark
light, spying on her like thin fingers touching
her where only my hands belong!  My jealousy
would slay this thief!  Her thin hand stills
my silent mental rage to a soft sigh,
covering my dry jagged lips with her healing tongue

Rays of sunshine
light liquid pouring through
narrow old shades

Nights crawl like a snake slipping around
a dazed, cotton faced homeless man weaving seated on the
side walk, the whirring hum of the bridge overhead
raining black soot.  The harbor reflects the silver
trinkets fallen from the drunken light of the moon.

The night acerbic winds burn.   But they shimmer
through her hair as she waits, so much of what
love is meant to be in our pact set silently as she
gives all she holds dear to only me,
and how she melds into me.
We
become
the
lost
I.

Awww, precious words to the one they are intended. I wonder...does she ever hear these words. She would be thrilled to know she touches these depths in your being.

Oh she does.  When she first know I wrote poems, she asked me to write one for her.

She saves all of them.

Thank you, Marge.  I am happy you enjoyed this piece.  I do have that, "I am in love" dazed look all the time.
