Unshed Tears

If they should flow, these unshed tears
That have been gathering for years,
I fear there'd be another flood,
Like Noah's time and that it would
Cause havoc in the world around
By covering the precious ground.

So if I feel them letting go
And can't find way to stem the flow,
Since I can't swim, I will embark
Immediately to build an ark.
I'll build it big, I'll build it strong
And take all those I love along.

If you would get aboard with me
Your ways must change from A to Z.
No more your little jabs and slights
That make unhappy days and nights.
I'll find release from this deep pain
And have no need to cry again.

Dear Joyce:  I really hope that time doesn't come, but if it does, please make room for me and mine!  Great poem!

Thanks Betty.  This of course, had nothing to do with anything happening to me right now.  Love, Joyce

Wow, Joyce...

Very nice imagery and great ending! Wish the "first" one had thought it through like you!

Very nicely done, the concept was well rendered in this piece.

(big hugggsssssss) I certainly hope this doesn't happen either, dearest friend, but something has gotta give to erase all the pain in the world and I only pray it's with the least of violence and punishment! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
