(AN: Again my muse inspires yet another piece. She may be with another, but my heart she will always have.)

Dreamscape

You were at the cinema in the mall.
I was there too, it was in the early fall.
We talked when we met each other unexpected.
I initially hoped to be undetected.

But I welcomed our subsequent little talk.
Better than Plan A, away I would walk.
He called you and said he couldn't make the show.
The sun through the skylight did glow.

We were going to watch the same film it turned out.
A pleasant little surprise, without a doubt.
The movie was written rather nicely.
I enjoyed it, but not as much as she beside me.

"Sorry he couldn't make it to the show."
I felt like it was only us in the row.
You smiled back and thanked me for my kindness.
I would remember this with much fondness.

We weren't thru yet, as in the park we did walk.
Of many a lighthearted thing did we talk.
An outdoor music festival was currently at play.
The sun set, the end of a perfect day.

Impulsively I asked you if you wanted to dance.
I feared you'd find this an unwanted advance.
I was surprised when you said yes to my query.
A wondrous surprise for a broken heart so weary.

It felt so right and good to have you in my arms.
I fear again I'd fallen for your charms.
Then it started to pour down with rain.
We searched for shelter, almost in vain.

Till we found it under a quaint little shop.
I covered you with my coat, then time did stop.
As I held you in my arms, time ceased its meaning.
As towards each other we were leaning.

I looked into your eyes, that rainy twilight.
As they shone with more than just the streetlight.
I held you close as I kissed you tender.
To my feelings at last did I surrender.

My one action spoke volumes of words unspoken.
My heart began to mend, even though it was broken.
You smiled at me, warmly and reassuring.
Adding to a smile that was already alluring.

It is then that I awake again, to the bleats.
Of my alarm clock, I cast away blanket and sheets.
And sit upon my bed, staring at my gray dorm wall.
Knowing full well that a dream was this all.

You and he are together, happily a romance.
My heart feels pierced by a lance.
But the feelings from the dreamscape.
Are from my cold reality, a warm escape.

(big hugggsssssss) I agree with Maggie, dearest friend, there is nothing more heartaching than unrequited love and at least I think she should know how you feel, as you can do that without being selfish too and let her know she'll always be your friend! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, try to make yourself less mysterious in love, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Carl, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
