Starbucks Coffee

Sitting in Starbucks,
Dressing in blue,
Stirring the dark coffee,
I gently sipped a drop of tears.

A tear from the cup,
As I observed through the day,
Couples, friends gathered
In this small cafe.

7 o'clock in the morning,
Till 5 o'clock in the evening,
I drank my tears as poured down,
As they poured down to my cup.

As I drank the sour coffee,
I looked at myself in reflection.
How time has changed my outline,
The result of my cumulative depression.

I grinned and sneered no one would care,
Because from yonder childhood, I had been a loner.
Because the world is cold,
Whether it was the past, is today, or will be in future.

Perhaps, I should not blame the world.
Maybe I was too demanding.
But maybe no matter how the world gave me love,
Deep in my heart I would always feel insecure.

Perhaps, my mind was playing a trick,
Ignoring the love surrounded me.
Yet perhaps, it was not my faults,
Neither it was the world's flaw.

It was the creation of misunderstanding,
Because if we took away the mask of each,
We would see we were not all that pretty,
Sometimes we felt lonely, too.

Yet tonight I couldn't help but felt lonely,
Alone sitting in Starbucks waiting a friend,
A passerby to greet me hello, warming my nerve,
So I could go home and had a sweet dream.

Oh tears dropped down, as I walked out
The cafe without given a greeting.
Oh how my heart was broken up because no one smiled-
Why? A smile wasn't too hard to made.
Why people were so cruel,
So cruel to someone that just like another him or her?

I didn't get sad with this one, the writing is too fine, I came away from this like listening to a great Blues record, The tears in the coffee a great image!  Thank you for the experience!

And hugs if you need it!
