Morning Routine

In the sharp light of early morning
god, I wish I could be your cigarette
inhaled slowly through your mouth
hand held and touched by your lips

Imagining sinking into you
I'm so jealous of your aftershave
to lovingly scent your throat
would surely be bliss, indeed

Think of me just like gardenia
overflowing your kitchen window box
I'm jealous of your garden
I want you to dig me, too

Instead, I stand here at the bus stop
we wait, and you leave, not looking back.
Craving you, I leave, annoyed
I watch you but you dont see.

This is straight from the heart. Enjoyed. Reminds me of Shania Twain's song where she says..."I'm even jealous of the rain." hugs, Chris

It's always so hard to crave something you can't have, isn't it?  Your emotions come through very strongly.

Lovely and full of yearning. If only they could but read our thoughts sometimes. Sweet one.
