The Poet's Moon

A stirring of Allegory,
A glimmer of Savoir-faire,
A measure of Introspection,
A dalliance in Despair.

The Mind is an endless ocean,
The Heart, an ungentle tide
Leaving Logic a capsized ruin
Spirit's deep dares not abide.

A sweeping of Inspiration,
A whimsy of Wonderment,
A dabble of Disillusion,
A shadowing of Lament.

The Hand is an anxious suitor,
The Page, an unspoiled bride;
The Pen is a vow unspoken
Wherein Grace and Truth reside.

A flutter of Fascination
A whisper of Unrequite,
A moment of Realization:
Tis a Poet's Moon tonight!

Heh, thanks Maree, I have missed being here.  This is a rather pitiful offering I fear but sometimes one must shake the dust off to get the wheels rolling again.  Just a whimsy really, this.

Joyce, Melton:  Thank you for taking the time to reply.  I hope to produce something worthy of your praise soonish.
