My Star My Soulmate

It's summer night again;
Once you've fallen asleep
Into deep dreams,
At a night like this.

You said the stars are like
Angels whispering hymns
To your ears,
Praying as you asleep.

I sometimes wondered
Which star are you,
Who is watching over me,
Guiding me in the stars.

Just when I was to cry,
I heard a puppy mourned.
So I opened the door
And there he was
Laying in a paper box.

So I picked up the puppy;
A slip fell to the ground.
I had been waiting for so long,
Till this day I received
A mail from you.

God did answer my prayer,
In a season like this,
God sent me a letter,
Telling me he was alright.

In the letter,
I could see he was happy
In everyday he lived,
And the most memorable time
Was spent with me.

And the most memorable lines,
Was he swore there was no regrets,
In his life caused he'd found,
His soulmate.

very nice thought...

Eliza, this is a great piece and I absolutely adore the following:

You said the stars are like
Angels whispering hymns
To your ears,
Praying as you asleep.

Just fantastic.  Hugs, Marti
