Throw in one whole heart
A broad mind,
Some guts,
Some grit,
Some grizzle,
which you may
flavor with savory.

Add vision,
A pinch of wisdom,
Dash of compassion,
2 tbsp. of tears.

Season with a sensitive soul
and simmer
'til warm
as an embrace.

Give it thyme
'til it bubbles over
with the gift
of poetry.
