Too Soon?

Could it be only yesterday we met?
This night together seemed so very right.
So nice to wake up to a happy face,
To find you with me still at morning light.

I dare not think my lonely days are done.
It is too soon to be so optimistic.
I must be patient, wait to see what comes,
Dampen my ardor, be more realistic.

Will this be just the first time we share breakfast?
I fear I'll frighten you with silly talk.
You must admit that we are good together.
I grab your leash and take you for a walk.

Thanks Marge.  Not a puppy a big golden lab.  My daughter bought her for me for a birthday present.  She has an owie.  She had her ear lanced and has to wear a collar for two more weeks so she won't scratch it.. When that comes off we will have a great time.  She is a doll and is tagging me everywhere.  Love, Joyce

Joyce:  I love this poem!  It's so clever! Also glad that you have a golden Lab now. They are wonderful dogs.  The dearest dog i ever had was a goldie and he was outstanding. I lost him nine years ago to old age and miss him still. Have a great time with yours.

Thanks Betty.  I had fun with the poem and know I will have fun with my darling Lab.  She is so patient with this nasty collar around her head.  Love, Joyce

Way to lead us all on.... Very well done I might add.

OhJoyce~
One of the bestest dogs I ever had was a Golden Lab named Kato .. at work we rescued his mother and she gave birth to 13 pups !!!
I got Kato out of the litter and he was the most loving critter ... at one year old he darn near outweighed me, but would still try to climb up in my lap.

One day I took him with me to a craft show while visiting my son, there was a group of blind students and their dogs-in-training putting on a display.  Well, my Kato started prancing to be part of the group ... mimicing all the commands ... the director asked me if I would let him work Kato with the group ... I said sure ... then they introduced him to a blind lady, 22 years old, looking for her perfect work-mate ... they bonded immediately ... I didn't have the heart to separate them ... and I gave the puppy of my heart to her ... now that I've moved back over here ... I still get to see Kato and his beautiful soulmate~

This is a little story from my heart and I just KNOW your Lab will give you many years of love and loyalty~
They are the perfect companion !

What is her name ?

I call her Susy 2.  After another faithful dog I had.  We've been for several walks today and she is asking fo another.  I am afraid to let her loose until she gets that nasty plastic collar off.  And Marge what a big heart you have.  Love, Joyce

This is adorable, Joyce - and I suspect it's just the beginning of a very special and very long relationship...
