Illusion

I told my friend I was unhappy,
My friend asked me,
How much of a day I was unhappy.
And how much I ought to happy.

I couldn't really tell.
I was happy all the time
When loneliness wasn't mention,
When my self-image wasn't brought up.

Cause I was never lonely,
When my friends and family were here.

Sadness seemed to be an illusion.
Yet my life was so dull that I wanted to cry.
Yet I was not content
When I should be giving thanks.

So now I pray,
Lord, let's me have a thanksgiving heart.
Let me show gratitude to all
The smallest thing surround me.

Let me stop whining
And start helping
People surround me,
Sharing my parents' shoulders.

Let me cherish myself,
My parents, my friends,
My God and family,
Living everyday in You.
