Messages From the Moon

I woke and saw the moon was high
And spilling gold across the sky.
I rose and went outside to see
What messages she had for me.
I sat in radiance so bright.
A waterfall of lunar light.
I breathed it in.It filled me up.
The moon a pitcher, I, the cup.

She told me many secrets there,
But I can't tell.I wouldn't dare.
I closed my eyes and must have slept,
For later, I could see, she'd crept
Far to the west and shadows came,
All my yard to seize and claim..
I felt so lonely and bereft.
An empty shell, the moon had left!

gringakiwi:  I'm glad you liked this. The moon is full on Tuesday, I believe and is always so beautiful at this time of year, here in the northwestern U.S.  I suppose in most places! Thanks for commenting.

I like this too Betty.  It always seems srange to me that the moon which seems to be shining exclusively on you is shining on everyone.  Joyce

Joyce:  Thanks. I guess it's only fair to share something so beautiful, isn't it?

Dear Marge:  You are full of wonderful and awesome surprises today!  I adore that moon picture and it is perfect for what I had in mind when I wrote this piece. I had a feeling you would like it and hoped you would! Thank you so much for the gift of words and graphic!

Love
Betty Lou

This is beautiful. There is nothing I love more than sitting in wonderment and staring at the moon. Contemplating her wisdom and beauty. The phases of the moon are very powerful, from new to waxing, full, waning to dark.

This is lovely - really lovel.
