Just a lost soul, in the labyrinth of your mind,
looking for the answers when you know they're hard to find.
Feeling so alone, you know that you can have it too,
being what you want to be, wanting to be you.

Talking to the silence that surrounds you once again,
Solitude and loneliness falling like the rain,
breathing in the clouds of yet another empty dream,
in my mind I hear your cries, as your ink on paper screams.

It seems a thousand nights have passed and still I want to hear the lies,
the truth is sore I can't escape no matter how I try,
we live to act and act to live, this we know is true,
In my hands I hold the words, where I once was holding you.

I know that you are leaving me amongst all this confusion,
leaving me with hidden thoughts, images, illusions.
The beauty of the verses that were written in such vain,
you may be gone, but don't forget, the poetry remains.

I liked this. something always remains when people leave for one reason or another.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This was a poignant read and very well done. The emotions came through in every line and it was very moving.

This was my first time reading any of your poems, but I promise it won't be the last. I really felt the flow was great and enjoyed the poem...Paul
