Somewhere out there~

I'm sitting here it's 11:35 pm
Letterman, and Leno just faded out
My feet propped up
leaning on my elbow here on the couch

I think back to the time we met
What were we looking for?
What were we trying to forget?
What brought us to each other?
Why were we looking for something more?

How did it begin?
What was my original sin?
Just a small town girl
Heart looking for a whirl
You sure put my heart in a spin.

Now, and then I wonder...
What happened? What went wrong?
I just know I wouldn't want to do it again.
Now that the pain is long gone.

Still I wonder..
What was my original sin?

sometimes there is no logical explanation for such things. Chalk it up to incompatibility and move on. This was an interesting piece. So many questions and so few answers.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Things happen. But, don't blame yourself. Sometimes it's no one's fault.

Thanks Melton.. I just wonder sometimes, what was the reason this person crossed my path. That is all. Have you ever tried to make sense of something that an answer seems to elude you? That's never crossed your life journey?

Everyone that crosses our path in life does so for some reason, and we are forever changed for that crossing insignificant as that crossing may seem.

Lovely write and I hope you are doing well now.

Thank you Dawn. No. This was anything but insignificant. VERY far from it. After alot, and I do mean ALOT of pain, and that for years, I will never be the same. Someday, in spite of this persons wishes for my detriment, and that to the 100th power, I will find my way back to what, and who I was. I find that anything but insignificant. I have never seen pain that was insignificant, and having to work your way back to the person you were before doesn't come from being with someone that was a *picnic.* Cruelties are no way to end anything, and a bitter end wasn't chosen, it was fed to me like it, or not!
Thank you,

Sometimes we must take the bad things as well as the good.  It is better than letting life pass by without giving it a try.  I am sure you are past this now.  Love, Joyce

The part in this write that said " heart looking for a whirl" was only for rhyming purposes, and this person {KNOWS} that. He does! But anyway..No I don't think that something that changes your life as much as this person did is ever [forgotten], maybe some can do that, but I don't seem to be one of them. Still there are thoughts of this person...maybe not so much pain anymore, but *no* this person is far from being *forgotten. I can't forget someone that left a mark on my mind, and heart the way this one did. In the ultimate end of it all *God* knows the [TRUTH] of it all, and that's all I am worried about. I know my heart was sincere with this person, and so does he. Lies will tell on themselves in time. They always do. It's just a matter of when that's all. The lies didn't come from me, and he knows that, too. Thank you for the comment, and the read. It is much appreciated. Bless ya!

Spoken from the heart. One senses pain and the want of forgiveness. Beautifully written
