Ok....i fell again
like an aged man with
faltering step
my hand feels weak
and there's naught to grip
as my heart fails and now i trip
its not the years
that steal life from me
not poison that takes
sweet breath from me
my sleep...is robbed
of rest and calm
and like small boat caught in storm
in tumbling fits i rock and roar
and yet I sail on
all the more
a fool I am for certain
and when they draw
over me death's curtain
and speak words of life now gone
i hope they know
though they'll be wrong
that in my heart
there lives the ghost
for her
the one I loved best
and most
