beyond the pale lie dreams ahead
long manufactured from our bed
step lightly now begin the dance
ballet of lifes first circumstance

beyond the pale youth bids farewell
to breast fed dreams and fairy tales
long summer days effortless sweat
sweet lasting scent of childhood breath

beyond the pale the world divides
contrasting roads wait side by side
and sight impaired by blinders worn
the choice made direction born

beyond the pale colors have changed
vision and taste buds rearranged
oh savored plate that life has served
explore the beauty of its curve

beyond the pale time now the foe
with autumn quiet bidding we go
sweet sorrow as we end the dance
ballet of lifes last circumstance

missmisery61:  I like your poem.  There are some lovely phrases in it.  I see you haven't been here long, so welcome and hope it will become a habit to post here.
