Opportunity Cost in Love

Sometimes I wonder
How to calculate
Opportunity cost in love.

There is no such way
To measure gain or loss.
If giving is measure by reward,
It isn't real sacrifice.

We all want true love, yet
Some hesitate to fall in love.
Always worrying that what if
Later we find out it's wrong
To trust men.

Yet love isn't mathematics;
We can't put them in equations.
What is opportunity cost is unknown.

All I know
Is that if I don't give a try
My heart will always has regrets.

So today I'm sorry,
Whether you would like to hear,
Or rather to take a nap, I just want to let you know
I love you.

(c)Inspired by economic opportunity cost.

Eliza:  It's always a good time to let people know you love them. Sometimes, we lose the opportunity and always regret we hadn't told them, when we could. I like your poem!

Nice concept, but love has proven and over that it cannot be measured.  Joyce

It would be next to impossible for me to ignore the call of love...of course it doesn't always work out...encouraged by our impulsiveness, our rush to find love...we mistake lust for love...
To find love requires patience...James

Truer words never spoken.  Better to take the chance and love, then close yourself off.

Beautiful!
