I smell the change of seasons wind
Autumns Temper breezes in
I see the Moody sky in sulk
Quckening clouds bowl by in bulk

I love the passionate setting sun
Of autumns fire with winters turn
Shades of emerald die and blacken
Falling leaves and dried up bracken

Bare branches scratch the sky
Beds of colour wither and die
Fields shine with frosty veil
Exquisite weave across the dale

Glorious golds and reds rain down
Carpets of copper and crackling brown
Evening light like premature dawn
Summer gives way as winter`s born

junemac:  A lovely poem and sounds as if your autumn season is much like ours here in the northwestern part of the USA!

Very, very engaging.  I hope though that autumn still has a few tricks left for you.  Love, Joyce

Junemac
I loved this, and especially the last stanza. We are just coming into summer here, and I hope that it is as beautiful arriving as it is leaving.
Lovely write, as always from you!

England is in my opinion is at its most beautiful right at the beginning of each season, I think my own favourite is spring though.

hugs and thanks for reading and commenting on my poem.

(smiles) Oh June, spring is my most favorite season too because everything is blooming and coming to life and all the sweet birds are singing, but winter too is pretty and I welcome the season! (kiss on cheek) Your words beam with lovely imagery, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet June, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
