Did I Tell Him?

I wonder if I told my dad
Do you think he really knew
Just how much his daugher loved him,
Before bidding him adieu?

Did I take his love for granted?
Did I lay it on the shelf,
Forgetting all he'd done for me,
Thinking only of myself?

Heavenly Father he's with you
In his bright new home up there.
Will You tell him how I loved him

On this earth my dear, sweet daddy

I just can't wait to tell him this,
'Til my race on earth has run.

Do You think he really knows it

He made my childhood magical,

Until he left to live above.

Joyce this is really beautiful. it is nice to read as we approach fathers day. I am fortunate enough still to have my dad around and i m sorry you dont have yours, he was obviously a wonderful man.
