My Fantasy

Television sounds keep me awake at night.
My eyes stare deeper and deeper
To square box of the TV set.
My mind flies to fairies' home
Where dreams allow to cross my life.

The life of soap opera, of martial art,
The love and hatred,
The friendship, sincere and honesty
Of the TV square box,
Seems only exist at midnight,
When TV glow in benign.

My life is no more than
An aimless cat of a caring home.
The life I want,
I don't dare to dream.
The path I am taking,
I am not sure I want.

I can see there's lights
On another side of my path,
Yet it's just not convincing enough
For me to walk through the trial,
Cause in my heart I know I could be
In somewhere else-

Today my choice I don't know whether it's right,
Or tomorrow I will regret my waste of time.
I only know my heart isn't for learning
At this moment of writing...
My mind is but empty aimless wind.

I only know if I don't work hard
On something... on something that I like or hate
I will truly regret...
I will truly regret...

Yet how can an aimless string
Find her place in the wind,
Find her pole to hang on,
To stand strong against the wind.

Wind slowly whisper through my ear,
Deep down I know I've wasted my precious
My most precious youth
In living idly...
In living with aimless mind.
My mood isn't high,
And I don't know whether I'm sad.
I only know I'm
An aimless star falling off the sky.

And all I know
Is to seek what I don't have in TV
And all I know
Is to seek love and peace on a flat screen.

You have a flat screen????? Man I am jealous!LOL
More seriously I love the subject of this poem.. how easy it is to pass the hours away watching TV or playing video games or computer games, etc, etc.
In killing time we murder success.
Insightful poetry.

Eliza:  I hope something comes along to capture your interest and energize you! TV makes a pretty poor companion, in comparison to real life! Have you thought about doing volunteer work in a hospital, or community service organization?  They often help us realize just how much we have, compared to others.
