I can't think about it too hard
The news I got today
It was just a couple months ago
When she went away

Now they're saying you must go
Down that same hard path
Tremors shook our world
Do we cry or do we laugh

I know it must hurt you
This beast that kills within
Taking so many people
Now you must go like them

You fought the diagnosis
Took all the medicines
Today you said its not working
With a sad little grin

You'll go and meet the others
With your arms open wide
While we struggle to understand
And continue with our lives

In just a few short weeks
Those still here will meet once more
And desperately hold in our hearts
The man that we adore

We'll try to be strong
And not cause you more pain
It's time for us to let you go
Cancer's struck again.

Hey everyone,
I've been in and out of the forums and have read a lot of the poems, but when I'm down to the bottom my mind starts to wander and I haven't gotten very many replies posted up. I'm sorry, there's a lot going on in life right now. When my mind clears a little bit more, I'll be giving more feedback. Please be patient with me until then.

Okay so you made me cry. This is a very sensitive and touching piece of writing and if it is a personal truth for you then my prayers are with you and the 'man you adore'.

Spirit - I'm almost glad it made you cry, no offense towards you. I've said before that I feel my poems are well written as long as they make the reader feel some form of emotion. So, having made you cry, makes me feel this was well done.
