Confession on This Stage

I'm singing on this stage tonight.
Am I uttering empty words of others,
Or am I pouring out my laughter and pain?
Looking into eyes of faces,
Can I claim those are my own words?
When the music starts to play,
Does the music matches my heart?
Isn't the music inborn within me,
Or am I just singing through the flow?
Singing again here tonight,
It brings thousand feelings to my mind.
How should an artist chooses her music?
Should she sing her own song, or somebody's else?

I guess Eliza it is like poetry....we write only the way we write...or it seems forced. Possibly it is the same with a singer as well. Do you yourself wish to sing on stage someday? I enjoyed this, Chris

I think perhaps the singer makes the song she choses her own for that moment. She renders it in her own special way. Love, Joyce

oh ya...I wish I can sing! LOL...but I'm lack of air. Everything else can be compensated...but air...nope...it is hard to make it up.

this caught my attention there is a song by cold called " Confession" and it says something about a stage, nothing like your poem tho lol...I like it, keep up the good work!~
