Mr. Flattery,
you are so very flat
like expensive champagne
left over from a party
of days gone by
a wild rave it may have been
while the lights flashed
and the music loud
but come to think of it
was more or less wasted
even the leftover
is doomed to taste
sour

Dear Praise
your spirit is a symbol
of the rising sun
like a bubble rising
from the depths of a bowl
filled with the purest
of spring waters
if only to finally escape
the binding of the surround
into waiting arms of
what’s around

Dear Praise
that’s how the heart feels
light, happy and appreciated
when awarded by you

Dear Praise,
between you and Mr. Flattery,
obviously you win

Sudhir,
I love your writing! What a clever presentation of the subject. Another A+ for you. Bravo.

Well done! I attempted this particular challenge, but it fell short of being a worthy effort - I am very impressed.  I'm afraid I totally gave up on Flattery and Praise and switched to JUSTBLEU's challenge intead. Glad you didn't give up on it, enjoyable reading.
