This is awe-inspiring. I don't know how you all come up with so many first class writes. Lovely garden picture also.

Love reading all these great writes.
I write not!

I should have known you'd come up with a photo of the same spot ... just a different season. (and mowed)

You have taught me to let the camera lens be my eye to a whole new world ... and for that I send you oodles and oodles of *HUGLETS*

I thank each of you for your kind comments on this little piece.
Actually, it's a 'repo' from 1999.
While researching information on the Civil War, I ran across the phrase, 'There Will Come Soft Rains' ... I thought it so lovely that this piece immediately wrote itself~

Because a dear lady 'bumped' the original, I decided to re-do it ... and the photograph of the path to my meadow just seem soooooooo right~

Thank you again, my friends~
To know that time-worn-words continue to reach others makes this poetess smile~

Only 'fantastic' can describe this beautiful poem and picture. Surrendering is not always an easy thing to do. But the soft rains can be very healing.
