I thank each of you for your kind comments on this little piece. Actually, it's a 'repo' from 1999. While researching information on the Civil War, I ran across the phrase, 'There Will Come Soft Rains' ... I thought it so lovely that this piece immediately wrote itself~ Because a dear lady 'bumped' the original, I decided to re-do it ... and the photograph of the path to my meadow just seem soooooooo right~ Thank you again, my friends~ To know that time-worn-words continue to reach others makes this poetess smile~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
