Poseidon Calls

Misty morn, the sea is calling.
I must watch the breakers falling.
High on a cliff, the gulls wheel by.
Their snowy wings caress the sky.
I stare into the foaming green,
Pretending I'm Poseidon's queen.
White pearls adorning all I wear.
Pink corals clasp my floating hair.
Drifting where the currents roam
And soon forgetting kin and home.
Listen to the sea-wind blowing.
Mesmerizing ebbs and flowings.
I plunge into the depths below.
Poseidon calls and I must go!
