Icicles drip tears
on the face of waiting Spring
Flowering her smile

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Another delightful rendition - you are a very 'genteel' writer and that is so nice indeed.

Great laconic form and substance, Ellie.

Warm thoughts of Spring flow

YAY!!! I get to vote for your poem!!! I think that this poem and your haiku style of writing here will represent you very well in the book. Some real nice choice of words in your poem that inspires longing thoughts of  spring's arrival.

Ellie - This is a real, honest-to-goodness haiku!  Perfectly written, tying nature to human nature.  Bravo!  (PS - Have you tried writing any kitty-kicker haikus?)
