somebody's dungeon

Is what you want from me now
the very blood in my veins,
you took everything else
right down to the pain,
the sorrow, the loss,
the agony I need feel,
you took it away
in your quest to be real...

comforting...pathetic
with a touch on my skin
thinking this, just this
would heal me of sin,
as if corruption could ever
God, where to begin.

You took the soul that resided
the dreams I confided
all the fantasy I gave
you took , and you took
until nothing remained,
leaving a shell, empty and barren
you did all of this
with some perverse sense of caring,

and I, what's left
made of stone, bereft
am no longer able to breathe
for my grief you can not now
nor ever relieve.

You've never forgiven
so the life that I'm living
is perilously close to it's end,
will that be my redemption then.

Dear poetess, it sounds to me as if you should take back all that has been taken from you...own what is yours...what makes you, you. Very deep write. Chris

It would appear to me if you had been left barren and empty you couldn't write like this. You give a lot in your writing. I liked.

Rose; You have described my pain as well...I know just this terrible loss, but have found peace in that it all was the others terrible sickness and loss and not mine to take on...this set me free to be me...Ellie
