Pan's Place

The woods seem very strange today.
The trees above me swish and sway.
While in the path, swift shadows play,
I hear pipe music, far away!

There is a rustling everywhere.
Electric tension fills the air.
I stand and wonder if I dare,
Disturb the eeriness in there.

Sly, elfin faces peer at me,
Behind the trunk of every tree.
The smile and wait and watch to see
How I react to sorcery!

Then, close behind the leafy wall,
Silvery voices rise and fall.
That's when I suddenly recall,
I don't have time to walk at all!

(Big Smiles) Sounds like to me that the Pan Clan is having some church.... I bet ya when they pass around the "pixie dust" that the service really takes off.... Trillium, I loved your poem. Simply Magical.

SPIRIT, Joyce and Bob:  My face is very red right now!  I intended this one for Corner Pub and just discovered I posted in the wrong site.  I do appreciate all the nice comments though!  I have requested that it be moved to Corner and hopefully it will be, before too many more people read it.
Thanks for sparing my feelings and not letting my "boo-boo" color your comments.

Wonderful read! Very refreshing!
As in another poem of yours that I like I felt as if I was there myself.
Your words take me places, thank you.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
