Magic That Surrounds Me

From the shadow haunted hillside,
To the valley far below,
I can hear the barred owls calling
And it makes me want to go
And wander on the game trails,
Till they disappear from sight,
Midst the silver-spangled by-ways
Of a moonlit, summer night.
But the magic that surrounds me
And leads me on, beguiled,
Lets me know I'm in the presence
Of the spirit of the wild!
